If you haven’t seen Grey’s Anatomy you have missed out big time!
Grey’s Anatomy is a medical drama that began in 2005 which focuses on lives of surgical interns, residents and doctors around Seattle Grace Hospital. It stars Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey), Patrick Dempsey (Derek), Sandra Oh (Christina Yang), Justin Chambers (Alex Karev), Chandra Wilson (Dr.Bailey), Eric Dane (Mark Sloan), Sara Ramirez (Callie Torres) and many more. Moreover, this season marks the debut of Australia’s Rachael Taylor in the series as Dr. Lucy Fields.
This time the Seattle Grace Mercy-West doctors are back trying to get back on their feet after a patient’s husband was looking for vengeance through a shooting rampage from last season finale.
Drama is everywhere in this season, Derek leaves the Chief position and returns the position to Richard. Our doctors are trying to get cleared for surgery by the trauma counselor Dr.Perkins after the shooting. A deeply affected Dr. Bailey broke-up with Ben and is feeling guilty of being alive but does everything she can to re-establish her impeccable behavior.
Touching moments and heartfelt scenes goes on and on this season with Lexie going crazy with a patient in the first episode reliving her stress and we can see a traumatized Dr. Karev becoming afraid of elevators and refusing to take out the bullet out of his body.
The biggest surprise comes with an unrecognizable Christina who is planning her wedding meticulously with Owen (Kevin McKidd), but days after the wedding she gets a stress-disorder during an operation which changes her life, making her terrified of surgery, scared that she will leave blood on everybody she operates.
Callie and Arizona moves in together in this season but they have some problems as Callie wants kids in the future and Arizona doesn’t. This situation leads to more drama when Arizona gets a fantastic opportunity to work with sick children in Africa. Callie decides to go with her but after a lot of planning, Arizona decides to go alone so Callie ended the relationship. Followed by weeks of depression for both of them, Arizona decides to rekindle with Callie, but she gets the surprise of her life when she finds out that Callie fell pregnant because of Mark!
The highlight of this season are strong relationships in danger, like between Derek and Meredith when they take over an Alzaihmer’s trial and adopting Sola, an African child brought by Karev to Seattle Grace. Additionally, Christina’s weird behavior is causing problems for her and Owen and of course the love triangle of Arizona, Callie and Mark with a new member to the family. There is even a musical episode!
Grey’s Anatomy tells so much stories that it can take you hours to keep up with all the plot. However, this series is so successful because of the drama, great cases and heartfelt moments, expertly acted out that makes you feel for every story. In critical moments of the show, you relate to the pain and how the doctors struggle with their own personal lives while coping with work.
