James Badge Dale has joined the cast of Shane Black’s Iron Man 3. The actor will play the role of Eric Savin, a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army at Camp Killan who was put in charge of Project: Ultra. Savin steps on a land mine and a cybernetic surgery is performed to save him, resurrecting as the cyborg Coldblood.
Iron Man 3 also stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Ben Kingsley and Rebecca Hall, with original director of the franchise, Jon Favreau involved in the production of the film.
