The premium handmade bourbon whisky brand, Maker’s Mark, has proudly supported Myer’s Autumn Winter Collection Launch for the third year in a row. Made with red winter wheat as its flavoring grain instead of the traditional rye, Maker’s Mark provided the perfect cocktail base for the event, which this year drew inspiration from the golden Autumn wheat fields in the rural outback location of Narrandera in New South Wales.
On the evening’s menu were seasonal cocktails especially created for the event by Maker’s Mark Brand Ambassador, Jared Plummer. First in the spotlight was the aromatic Spiced Winter Swizzle. A perfect combination of Maker’s Mark, mandarin juice, ginger ale and grated fresh nutmeg, the Spiced Winter Swizzle would warm up any cold winter day.
VIP guests also enjoyed crisp Autumn Spritzers, made with Maker’s Mark, peach ice tea and soda water, served in a long glass over ice and garnished with strawberries.
On the catwalk, Myer Ambassadors Jennifer Hawkins, Kris Smith and Jessica Hart led the show at the iconic Mural Hall in Myer Melbourne, which was transformed for the evening into an overgrown wheatfield, with a spectacular set entitled “New Age Harvest”.
Among the 400 guests in attendance were Myer CEO Bernie Brookes and Myer’s stable of leading designers, including Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton from sass&bide, Arthur Galan, Yeojin Bae, Jayson Brunsdon, Aurelio Costarella, Nicola Finetti, Leona Edmiston and Wayne Cooper.
VIP guests on the night also included Myer Ambassadors Lauren Phillips, Rebecca Judd, Laura Dundovic, Nadia Coppolino, Simone Callahan, Toby Roberts, Zoe Badwi, Sophie Hall, Melanie Vellejo and Virginia Gay.
