Peats Ridge Music, Arts and Sustainability Festival are calling for a broad spectrum of creatives from across Australia to apply to showcase their works to over 10,000 Festivals goers.
The Festival are also looking for experts in sustainability, children’s performance and activities, the creative arts, healing, and music; to host workshops at Peats Ridge.
If you are a visual artist, healer, alternative health practitioner, drummer, dancer, multimedia creator, performer, eco-living ambassador, children’s entertainer, comedian or anyone with a great idea, submit your interest online at www.peatsridgefestival.com.au.
Artists, performers and those holding workshops have eight weeks from Thursday 12 to get their applications in.
The three day camping festival kicks off over New Year’s – Saturday 29 December to Tuesday 01 January.
Peats Ridge Arts & Culture Manager – Vic Johnstone says: “Peats Ridge is a massive celebration of art and culture. We’re looking for bold, interactive and engaging artists to be part of the experience this year. We hope to uncover some new and inspiring works to create the eclectic festival experience our fans come back for year on year,” she says.
“All sorts of arts and cultural experiences will be considered to join the Festival. Past years we’ve commissioned massive art installations, kooky themed venues, multimedia activations, theatre, cabaret, comedy, even a giant trapeze. Bold, interactive, fun, humorous and insightful artists are strongly encouraged to apply,” says Johnstone.
Children’s performers and entertainers can contribute to the fun and educational families and kids program at Peats Ridge Children’s Festival.
Teens are also catered for, The Swamp – is a parent free area. Children’s Festival manager Kristina Karasulas says “It’s a great platform for bands. Last year Salmonella Dub and the Dum Dum Girls popped in and hung out with the teens and they loved it”.
Visual and installation artists are encouraged to contribute to the Festival’s look, theming and learnings. The décor team are always looking for contributors to help create the wonderland at Peats Ridge.
The Drum and Dance Stage are looking for artists to create a global feast of powerful rhythms, funky grooves, exotic dance and hands on fun for festival goers.
The Healing Haven wants a broad spectrum of healers and alternative health practitioners to provide services and workshops for better health and wellbeing.
The Eco-living program is looking to hear from ambassadors with expert knowledge to share, on how to live a more sustainable lifestyle.
Peats Ridge Festival Director Matt Grant says he is open to including anyone whose work and ideas further the Festival’s overall one-of-a-kind immersive arts, sustainability and music experience.
